In the days leading up to the men’s ICC T20, and World Cup in October, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Bangladesh will meet in New Zealand in order to take part in seven T20i matches. It is believed that the Pakistan Cricket Board has already expressed a keen determination to participate in the series.
Bangladesh will also be in New Zealand as well. Before this year’s T20 World Cup 2022 which will take place in Australia the series will be crucial to all three sides because it will be the final touches to their preparation.
New Zealand T20 Tri-Series 2022 fixture
Host New Zealand has finalized all the dates and locations for the seven T20I games of the series. All seven matches will be identical i.e, Hagley Oval, Christchurch where the entire series, including the final match.
The New Zealand Tri-Nation Series 2022 will begin with the opening T20I on October 7th in the match between Bangladesh as well as Pakistan in Hagley Oval, Christchurch. The second game will be played against New Zealand and Pakistan on 8th October.
New Zealand and Bangladesh will play each other during the third T20I on October 9th, after which the series will go forward with the fourth T20I against New Zealand and Pakistan on 11th October.
The 5th T20I takes place by NZ Ban and Ban on October 12th and the game for the entire series is scheduled to take place on the 13th of October between Bangladesh with Pakistan. So, all three teams will take part in 4 T20I matches. The two teams that are in the top two will play in the final to take the title.
Kane Williamson most probably will be the captain of Kane Williamson is likely to be the captain of Kiwis while Babar Azam who is visiting NZ on his first trip as skipper will head to Pakistan. However, Bangladesh will take part under the direction of Mahmudullah.
Pakistan’s captain is currently great and currently holds the top spot on the ICC T20 player rankings, and Mohammad Rizwan is standing at the second spot. Both players have seen many improvements and have had success playing international cricket of all types.
Pakistan also did exceptionally well at the most recent T20I World Cup 2021 where they set a record by not beating India at their ICC World Cup.
It would not be a simple task for both outsiders to take on the Black Caps in their own country since New Zealand has already proved its worth by making it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021.
According to ICC rankings, at present New Zealand is in the 6th spot, whereas Pakistan holds the 3rd spot and Bangladesh is in the 9th spot.
